Sean Deer is an associate with the firm. His practice focuses on defending business entities in matters involving premises liability, workplace injury, and trucking accident litigation.

Mr. Deer graduated from the College of William & Mary in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Following graduation from William & Mary, Mr. Deer attended Vanderbilt Law School and graduated in 2019. While in Law School, Mr. Deer worked as an Authorities Editor on the Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law. Mr. Deer also received the Vanderbilt Scholastic Excellence Awards in Constitutional Law and Evidence. He was also awarded the Thomas R. McCoy Scholarship for excellence in Constitutional Law by the faculty. Prior to starting with Whitehurst & Cawley, Mr. Deer served as a law clerk to the Honorable Judge Alan O. Forst of the Florida Fourth District Court of Appeals in West Palm Beach, Florida.
